Goodman Get-Together

Today we enjoyed an afternoon at my Aunt Diane & Uncle Marti's in Freeland with the Goodman gang. It was my Uncle Ed's 50th birthday and we surprised him with a family cookout and some old man gifts! It was so nice to see everyone and the boys even got to play with their 2nd cousins, Lauren & Lilly.

I guess I forgot to crop this, but here is my Mom and her sisters (Debbie & Diane), brother Ed +his wife Sara and son Eddie, and Great Aunt Twila

The kids: Blake 4, Bryce 2, Lauren almost 2, Lilly almost 1
Cousins: Eddie, Robin, me
Just the 4 of us
Tim made fast friends with sweet little Lilly

Bryce warmed up to Lauren and Lauren LOVED the boys trucks and thought it was hysterical
Blake & Bryce got to sit on Uncle Marti's new BMW motorcycle
Whew, lots of pictures!! In case you haven't noticed I have been going BLOG CRAZY!! I changed my background (thanks to my creative cousin Robin) and published 3 new postings in 1 day!! There are so many happenings in our lives lately I want to make sure I blog all about it. Tim prints all my blogs off on photo paper and we keep a paper version of this journal and I want to be able look back and remember all of these moments. With that said, I think I'll take a blogging break for a couple days :)

Family Affair

Tim's cousin, Billy, got married yesterday and the O'Mara family was there to celebrate! Blake & Bryce love weddings, particularly the dancing and the cake, so they were really excited to get dressed in their "handsome clothes" and strut their stuff.

This is Bill, Joe, Billy, and Tim. Mom Jane who is missing from the picture looked gorgeous and was busy getting down on the dance floor!

Grandma & Grandpa with Blake & Bryce

Sean, Erica & Quinn. Quinn looked so handsome for his first wedding :)

Daddy & Bryce on the dance floor

Blake was getting down with his bad self and showing off for all the girls

Brycie didn't want Mommy to slow dance with Daddy, so he joined in.
Blake talked all the way home about the beautiful princesses he saw at the wedding :)

It's so fun when kids are invited to weddings!!

Water Park

Monica and I both had the day off today so we packed up the kids and went to a fun water park in Lapeer. It was a really nice park with a lot of little kid friendly features.

Blake, Bryce and Taylor in front of the Pirate Ship
Even Jenna loved the water park!
Blake & Bryce by the Frog Slide
Bryce had a blast on the slide, even if this was the 50th time he went down it
There goes Blake Monica & Taylor taking a rest from all the action
It was such a fun day, Thanks Woolman Girls!

Soccer . . one last time

Tonight was Blake's last night at soccer and he wrapped it up with another great week.
Here he is pictured with Coach Shawn (his favorite). He looks thrilled, right? It was actually his idea to get his picture with him, so you'd think he would have shown a little more enthusiasm . . . I'm gonna blame it on the sun in his eyes. Yeah, that's it!
Tim, Bryce, and I were all so proud of our big boy, we were all cheering from the side lines as he scored goals and stopped to wave and smile at us. Brycie was yelling "GO, BLAKEY!!" but only while he paused his chasing game with a little girl named Emma. Moms: Lock up your daughters, nuff said.

Boat Trip

Boat Trip: 2
The Crew

Tim and I just got back from our Boat Trip that we now go on every two years. Last Wednesday we loaded up the Woolman's truck and headed to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky for a 4 day stay on a beautiful houseboat. Our boat had 7 couples and there was a second boat that had 4 couples. We enjoyed perfect weather, 90-degrees and sunny every day while we floated in 82 degree lake water.

The view from the front of the top deck:

this is when we were leaving the marina heading out to find a cove to tie up to

This is the view from our very own little cove on the lake
Please excuse our lack of clothing, but we lived in our bathing suits the entire trip
It was a wonderful vacation and we had so much fun with a great group of people.

He shoots, he scores . . .twice!

Last week at soccer they had an actual scrimmage instead of the usual skills drills and games and you guessed it, our little soccer player scored 2 Goals!!! We are so proud of him and happy that he is enjoying himself :)
Here he is taking it coast to coast

Another great week, Blake!!

Golfers & Monkeys

Two things Blake & Bryce love to do:
1. Go to the Golf Course with Pa

2. Monkey around with Uncle Allen

They easily transition from well dressed conservative golfer types to wild animals climbing and jumping from everything in sight! Oh, the joys of boys . . .

Jenna Time

After months of pleading and begging, I finally got Jenna all to myself on Thursday! Monica & Brad took Taylor to a Tigers baseball game and Blake, Bryce, and I played with Jenna for the afternoon.
She's so cute!
Even though Jenna can hold her own bottle (she's 11 months) Blake insisted on feeding her
Close up of Happy Girl :)

I didn't want to give her back, but Monica insisted.

Soccer Suprise

Who showed up to soccer this week? Um that would be Blake the Soccer Stud
If you've been following the blog, you know that Blake has had a rough start at soccer: getting upset, being shy, and complaining of stomach aches, etc. He would only play the games and do the drills if I was holding his hand, but not this week! He busted out of his shell and was in the front of the line for everything, scoring goals, and making friends along the way.
Tim and I were so thrilled that he was finally participating and having fun, but no one was as thrilled as Blake. He grinned ear to ear the entire time and even took a break to ask Bryce if he was watching him out there.
Great Job Buddy!!!!!

Terrific Tuesday!

We had a terrific Tuesday shopping for cool clothes for Pa, visiting Lisa for haircuts, playing with Baby Quinn, and attending a concert in the park!

Quinn is growing more everyday
Blake and Bryce LOVE their baby cousin

Jeff & Lauren met us at the park for the outdoor concert and the boys took turns doting on Lauren. First Blake held her hand so she could get up the hill
Then he made sure she was alright after their long walk ;)
Well, Bryce couldn't be outdone, so he tried his best to win her over with a little hand holding of his own. I am starting to sense a little competition between them, they regularly argue over whether Tay Tay and Lauren are their girlfriends or just friends. OH BROTHER!!!!!

Independence Day

We had a perfect holiday weekend celebrating with our family. We rode a float in a parade, swam like little fish, and the boys celebrated their new-found independence in the pool.

With arm floaties and a life jacket, Mr. Bryce is fearless in the pool swimming and jumping in by himself. He and Mommy are so proud :)
Blake was a jumping fool!
Here he is decorated in his parade attire. He did a great job waving and passing out candy on the Huron Medical Center float.

Holiday Wedding

Congratulations to Daryl and Jeremy (Tim's cousin) as they were married on Saturday, July 5th.
Mother - Son Dance
Aunt Dee and Jeremy
Sisters & Best Friends: Aunt Dee and Sandy
