The Weekend was a Blast!

We had a busy weekend as usual! Friday night we had some friends over for an impromptu get-together and the boys (Tim included) get so excited when we have company.
On Saturday we had the Genesee County Baby Walk that I organize with my friend Monica. It was a perfect day to be outside and the walk went very well. The boys enjoyed the clown, the band, and the huge playscape, not so much the walking part! Also, Tim's team "Oh Baby" won 2nd place for top pledge collectors!!! Following the walk we went to our God Daughter, Lauren's first Birthday party. It was a very nice party, but like my boys, she didn't care much for her cake. I, on the other hand, enjoyed immensely!

Here is a pic of the boys goofing around at our house after the birthday party

Part of Team Oh Baby: By the way, I won't mention any names, but a certain couple in this picture is expecting their first BABY on May 30, 2008 and Aunt Rachie is so EXCITED!!

We were so tired by the time Saturday evening came around that Bryce went to bed at 7pm and the Blake, Tim and I layed in bed at 8pm!! The good thing is we were able to get enough rest so we made it to 8am mass this morning!! That usually comes too early for this family to get ready.
Now, the boys are out of their church clothes and in their Lions gear ready for Football!

Great Wolf Lodge

We went to The Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City over the weekend to celebrate my God daughter's 3rd Birthday. It was so much fun, Blake went on every single water slide even the BIG ones and he loved every minute of it. Bryce was timid at first, but warmed up and enjoyed the kiddie pool/play area and the Lazy River with Daddy.

These 3 Blondies are washed out in the sun, but still cute as ever :)
The Birthday Girl!
Cute Couple: Blake and Taylor
Here is the kids Wolf Den in our hotel room. Blake slept on the top bunk all night (I was nervous, but he did just fine). Brycie stuck to the pack n play, the den was just for fun.

Bryce had fun with the water fountains

You can't really tell, but Blake is going down the red slide,
this was the smallest one he conquered!

We had a great time with the Woolman Family!

First Day of School

Today was Blake's First Day of School! I was very nervous, but he did GREAT! We were in line for registration when he started to get a little nervous and reached up and held my hand tight. Then he saw his friend Collin and he went into "cool dude" mode. He acted like he's been in school for years and assured Collin that it would be fun.
He got to his classroom and put a sticker by his name on the attendance chart then found his name tag. He proceeded to his seat to color a picture and decorate his crayon box. He politely raised his hand and asked the teacher, "Can I have one of these crayon things for my brother, his name is Bryce". The teacher thought it would be best for Bryce to get his next year ;) He was a good boy and listened to the teacher and followed directions, I was so proud of him!
At the end of the day he asked if next time I could please not come with him because he would like to do it by himself. OH MAN!! This was orientation day, so the parents stayed with the kids, but next week is the real deal and Blake will be pleased to know that I won't be there . . . I will be in the car crying!!!!!

You know how Blake is with pictures, so here is the only decent picture
This is Bryce when he found out brother was going to school without him . . . Poor Baby.
Blake is in the "Green Frog" class and this is his bag he brought his papers home in.
This is the picture he colored, but as you can tell he isn't really into coloring.
I threw in a few random pictures of the boys playing:
in this one Blake was laughing so hard he peed a little in his underpants.
Blake and Bryce are worried about the loose stones in Mimi and Pa's driveway.
Here is Blake the Golfer
Pa got Blake his own set of golf clubs with a name tag and everything. He loves to go to the golf course with Pa although he swings more like a hockey player than a golfer!

Blake has met his match!

Well, Blake and Bella met for a play date in the park last week and I couldn't believe how it all unfolded. Blake has A LOT of energy and NO FEAR, it is quite a dangerous combination. He hasn't come across many kids his own age who can keep up with his fast paced play style . . . that is until he met Bella. They ran circles around the play scape, up and down the slides, laughing on the swings, but it wasn't until we went for a stroll around the park that the inner wrestler came out in two of the craziest 3 year old kids around. The two of them were chasing each other in the grass when all of the sudden Bella caught Blake and tackled him down to the ground. They were rolling around like a couple of puppies and even when Blake attempted to get up Bella yanked him down for another round. I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face. Luckily Bella's Mom had a camera and caught the two of them in action. Blake eventually piped up and said, "I call a TIME OUT" and Bella let him go, but he still talks about that day in the park :)

Summer Fun

I am sad to see summer come to an end, but I am looking forward to Fall. Blake starts "class" on Wednesday and he is very excited. He won't let me call it school, he prefers "class". I was tucking him in the other night and he said "Mom, I am excited for class cuz I will spend time with all my friends." Last year I tried to put him in this class and he freaked out so I am hopeful that this year will go differently . He is really into making friends lately for example when we go on bike rides he sees kids outside playing and he begs me to take him over so he can meet new friends. He now has Jacob, Olivia, and Caleb as new friends in the neighborhood :)
We enjoyed Labor Day weekend at my parents house. The weather was perfect and the corn was great . . . just ask Brycie:

Daddy and Blake cuddle time. Blake is such a little cuddle bug, but Bryce is into it at all :(
I will keep you posted on Blake's first day of school. I already feel the tears welling up in my eyes, I just cannot believe that my Baby Blake is 3 years old and starting school. Bryce is also growing up and acts like a Big Boy because he wants to keep up with his brother.
I guess it's time for another baby . . . in THREE YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
