Our Little Inventor

Blake loves to create things with his Trio Blocks and tinkertoys. He is always showing us his latest "invention" and each piece has an imaginative story behind it. Couple that with his entrepreneurial side and he spent his snow day today opening an Invention Shop with one of a kind, very PRICEY pieces.

Here he is showcasing four of his favorites:

the one-legged stomper, the Robo, the tickler, and the energizer

He is happy to provide sound effects and demonstrations for any piece you might be interested in.

When you visit this inventor's shop you must always be mindful of the store's hours as the inventor closes while he is creating a new masterpiece.

After the pieces have been purchased he puts the road block sign on display and a writes, "Not on Sale" until the customers come back at the end of the day to pick up their purchases.

He wants everyone to know he is excited to become an adult to work on real inventions, he keeps a notebook with all kids of fun ideas so he remembers them when he grows up.

Cool Kid

Take a look at this boy, we are enjoying his last few weeks of being 6 years old, so why does he look sooooo darn old?!
I bought this coat for him today because it was on clearance at Macy's for only $15. When I got home I showed it to him and he loved it! He put it on and said, "Ahhhhh, yeah, I'm gonna wear this coat in the Spring for skateboarding and for getting girls" . . . immediately followed by a huge grin and a "Just Kidding". How old is he again?! I laughed and said, "Blake, you look so cute in that coat". He stopped dead in his tracks and said, "NO, Mom, I look Cool".

Bring it!

We are having a blast watching Blake playing basketball! He has been doing a great job playing point guard, making some awesome passes, and is playing killer defense nabbing many steals. He also has done well with scoring some points, which makes his VERY happy :)

Here is #5, Blake O'Mara bringing the ball up He has made a couple of long shots, from about 10 feet out, and it's hilarious to hear him tell everyone who will listen. He started out talking about his 10 foot shot by replaying every detail exactly, but like any good BIG fish story, by the 3rd time he told it the shot went from 10 feet, to 15 feet, to 16 feet! Soooo FUN!
