O'Mara Christmas 2011

Grandma and Grandpa O'Mara are good at spoiling the boys on Christmas! We had a nice family day on the 26th at their house in Harbor Beach and all the O'Mara cousins had a great time.
Grandma made cupcakes for the boys to decorate for dessert
Bryce is a mini cupcake master, he took his time and made each one a unique creation
See how much Grandma enjoyed them!

Even the twinkies thought they were delicious!

Quinn definitely got into his work, haha! He dipped his entire hand the in the frosting bowl and dumped a bunch of sprinkles on his tray, then licked himself silly

Blake made a Christmas tree with his cupcake arrangement.
He placed exactly 4 M&Ms on each cupcake.

Max just liked eating, not so much decorating

Aunt Erica started a frosting war with Bryce, much to Bryce's surprise!
So it was only fair to retaliate

Our portion of the O'Mara family

So many great presents, thanks Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Sean, Aunt Erica, Quinn & Declan

Grandpa loved his new hat and his LARGER than Life "Grandpa's boys" blanket

Sneaky One

Little boy thinks he is sneaky.  He pushed a stool over to the counter while I was looking at him, lowered his head (because clearly he can't be seen when he lowers his head) sneaks a piece of wrapped chocolate off the cookie plate, then hides it in his hand.  Next he abandons the stool and hides on the other side of the island trying to get the package open.  When I knelt down and asked him what he was doing he kept his back to the island and scooted carefully to the other side while keeping his head lowered . .. thus thinking he can't be seen.  I followed him asking for the candy back and he took off running to hide between the couch and the ottoman.

I grabbed the camera and this is how I found him

Busted!

As soon as he noticed me he knew he had to relocate immediately

Time was closing in on him,

Then there it was, VICTORY!  I heard the package burst open and saw the grin spread across his face

There it was in his hot little hands, chocolaty goodness waiting to be eaten . . . even though Mommy said NO

Then, he held it up and said "Please, Mommy"

So I caved and let him have it, he worked hard for it and provided me with a lot of entertainment at the same time.

Christmas morning

Merry Christmas!!
The boys were up early and ran into our room to tell us about all the presents under the tree!
They ran for their stockings first

Max dove right in, he loved ripping the wrapping paper off his presents, then carefully picked up each piece of paper to put in the proper pile

Bryce was so excited to get a racetrack from Santa

Blake was suprised to get a spy kit and can't wait to download his hidden videos and pictures onto the computer

The best gift of all was the HUGE bucket of cheeseballs that Mom and Dad never let them get at Sam's Club.  That darn Santa ;)

Suckers with Mater teeth

And our family tradition, cake for Breakfast to celebrate Jesus Birthday, the reason for the season
Happy Birthday Jesus!!!

Max's Surgery

We are home and we are happy!  Max had his surgery this morning and it went great, he's feeling awesome.  He's still wobbly from the anesthetic so he topples over easily, but he is playing and acting like nothing happened!
He especially loves his Scooby balloon from Dr. Robbins :)
This is 2 hours after surgery!

This is when we first got to the hospital

Max enjoyed the "relaxation medication" before surgery
He was quite entertaining!

Little lovey with his blankie all ready to go to OR

Love you baby!

Immediately after OR he was crying at first, but settled right down and enjoyed a popsicle while all the other kids around him were screaming and crying.  Even the nurse commented on how well he did!
Posted by PicasaThe Dr. said they drained a lot of thick fluid from his ears, so we are hoping to see improvements!
What a wonderful Christmas gift for our boy!
Also, a special Thank You to the Woolman family for keeping Blake and Bryce overnight so Tim and I could both be at the hospital with Max.  We love our BFFs.
