I love summer . . . I love camping . . . I love the beach . . . I love my boys

We went camping in Muskegon last weekend and had the best time with the Brunworth family. The weather was perfect, the food was good, and the beach was just right for playing. I love this picture, something about it is so serene. Brycie had fun in the sand and liked splashing in the water, although we had to keep reminding him it wasn't for drinking . . . YUCK!!
Ryan was so nice to take us out on Lake Michigan on his beautiful boat. Blake even got to drive it.

3 Boys Down, 1 Mommy to Go

Bryce started feeling better Tuesday afternoon, but Tuesday night Blake started throwing up at 9pm and continued to do so every half hour throughout the night. I went to work this morning and Tim stayed home with the kids; however, he only made it to Noon before he got sick, too.
Now I am keeping my fingers crossed and obsessively washing my hands in hopes to avoid this bug myself. The odds are not in my favor :(

The Flu in the Summer???

Yesterday I walked into the Nancy's house (the babysitter) and Blake comes running up and says, "Aw, Brycie puked all over the carpet, it was huge, and it stinks, he's sick, he wants Mama." I looked over to see Nancy cleaning the carpet and Bryce walks over with a huge smile and says, "Hi Mama".
I call him a Random Puker because he seriously will just puke at a random time and then be completely fine. He actually does this at least once a month, so I really thought this was another one of those times. However, when we got home he proceeded to throw up throughout the evening into the next morning. Our poor baby has the flu :(
Just when I thought he was feeling better, we walked outside to get the mail this afternoon, and as we were walking back in I picked him up and his butt was soaking wet. Yup, you guessed it, diarrhea out the diaper, through the shorts, down the legs, into the shoes and now all over me too!!!! YUCK!! So, he had his 4th bath in the last 18 hours and now is taking a well deserved nap. I pray he feels better soon!

"Who Broke?"

My brother, Allen, was here for the weekend and Blake had the hardest time preparing for his visit. Blake (and the rest of the family) absolutely LOVED Allen's girlfriend, Rachael. They have since decided to go their separate ways and we are all sad that we won't be seeing her again. She is a wonderful person, we all had so much fun with her, especially Blake.
When we told Blake that Allen was coming to see him, he immediately asked, "And Rachael, too, right?" I told him that Allen and Rachael had decided to break up. He said, "WHAT? Why did they break? Who broke?" He was very confused and I wasn't quite sure how to explain this to a 3 year old. So, I ended up saying that they had found different friends and that Rachael wouldn't be coming with Allen anymore. He wasn't very happy with this situation, so the rest of the day he role played saying that he was Allen and that I was Rachael and we were still friends. It was cute, but I felt bad for him. Break ups are hard on everyone, even 3 year olds!!

Wedding Weekend

Well, Sean and Erica's wedding day started out stressful for me because Blake was being VERY Crabby. This is me trying to get him dressed, you can see how happy he was.

He got a little better when we got there and all the other guys were wearing tuxes like him. He felt cool to be a part of the crowd.

Tim and Sean: Tim had several guests congratulate him and I even had to look twice when I was looking for him. The groomsmen all wore a pale green vest and Sean had on white; however the lighting in the reception hall made it very difficult to distinguish between the Twins!

He just loves his mommy! It was really hard because Tim, Blake and I were standing in the back right before we walked down the aisle and Brycie was CRYING and yelling MaMa because he wanted to be with his family. It was so sad, I wanted to pick him up and hold him!

I was terrible at taking pictures, so when Sean and Erica get back I will get a few to post of the Bride and Groom!

Lookin Good!!

Soooo CUTE!! I just got these pictures back today, so naturally I felt compelled to share them with all of you. The hospital I work at sponsored a picture event in which all the proceeds go toward Nurse's Week. I did this with Blake 2 years ago with Sepia tones and they were the BEST pictures I have ever had taken of Blake. This year there was a different photographer and he was terrible. He did NOTHING to get the kids attention or to make them feel comfortable. Blake did great, he loved all the props and did whatever the guy told him to do. Bryce, however, was terrifed by the guy and cried almost the entire time. I was pleasantly suprised that some of the pictures turned out ok. My favorites are the one of Bryce by himself at the piano looking right at the camera and the one of Blake looking down at the piano because you can see his reflection in the piano. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Godparents let me know which pose is your favorite because I have several 5x7s and wallets.
AFter this weekend I will have more pictures of Blake in a tuxedo because it is Sean and Erica's wedding and Blake, Tim and I are all in the wedding party. Please keep your fingers crossed that Blake does well!!!!
