Class of 2022

Really? Seriously? It is hard enough (excuse me while I swallow the lump in my throat and fight this wave of nausea) to accept the fact that my BABY, my first born, the very reason I fell in love with motherhood, is done with kindergarten today and is now considered (gasp) a 1st grader but all over the classroom, the letters home, etc. etc. it says Class of 2022. It may be a fact, but I do not even want to associate my baby boy with a graduation date which in turn implies he is leaving me and will be out in the big bad world to find his way . . . without me (did I already say that?). Not to mention that when I think of the year 2022 I imagine myself showing up to his graduation with gray hair, a walker, and my hearing aid turned way up! Try it, think of the year 2022 . . . doesn't it make you feel old?!

All joking aside, Blake has had a great year. He has grown so much academically, emotionally, as well as physically. His teacher, Mrs. Larsen, was a perfect match for him and made his first school experience better than we could've imagined. Indian Hill is a fabulous school with loving, caring staff, and we are thankful to be Jaguars!!

Sooooo, ok why not: Way to go class of 2022, you've only just begun!!!! (Yup, that did it, I just shed real tears).

We Love Lakeport

We were camping once again in Lakeport on Lake Huron with the Woolman and Grove families. Lots of great pictures to post, so I'll let the pics do the talking:

Who's filthy baby is this?! If you know me, you KNOW I like things clean. Camping (albeit high maintenance style in my 30ft. travel trailer with a full bathroom and full kitchen) forces me to let go and get a lil dirty . . . but this was a bit much, Max!!!
We endured some HOT and HUMID weather and luckily cooled down in Lake Huron.
The Grove Girls playing in the sand

Bryce was a fish, swimming and going under despite the chilly water

Monica & Jenna cuddled up on the beach blanket . . . soo sweet

Taylor after her swim

Lauren posed perfectly!

Tim & Jeff buried the kids in the sand

Max is still in love with the beach. He even enjoyed the taste of sand . . . YUCK!

Max has also become quite the cruiser. He will walk behind anything that moves and at minimum he can get to slide across the ground. He was all over with his little car.

Cute little Tigger boy

Love camping at Lakeport!

Backyard BBQ

We had a few friends over for a cookout last weekend and when it rained on our parade our backyard cookout turned into an indoor dance party. Here are a few pics in random order . . .

Quinn loves to tackle Bryce, thankfully Bryce thinks it's fun, too :0
Rich, Lindsay & Blake were scheming and playing tricks on everyone, Blake loved every minute of it.

Quinn was hamming it up with his super cool dance moves. I think he danced for a solid hour!

Lauren was a cute dancer, too

My cute nephew, Quinn

Sean, Tim & Max

Backyard BBQ/indoor dance party = huge success.

We get so busy with our own lives, but it is important to make time for good friends. Thanks for coming over, friends, it was FUN!

Bryce's Big Finish

Bryce has had so much fun playing soccer this year, he spent each Saturday with a perm-a-grin jogging leisurely up and down the field while other kids attacked and scored. Our boy was just so happy to be there he could care less about who was scoring or winning . . . until his last game. He kicked it up a notch, stole the ball several times, and even scored 3 Goals!!!!!! He was so excited he actually missed the play that followed each of his goals because he was too busy smiling and giving us the thumbs up :)
Way to go Brycie

Yup, we are those parents . . .

Happy 8 Months, Baby!

Our little Max at 8 Months old is quite the happy baby! He is still crawling all over the place, walking along furniture and with a push toy, claps with glee, waves backwards, said "Momma" clear as a bell (only one time, but I'm counting it cuz I had about 6 witnesses -ha), and loving table food as much as we allow. He's wearing mostly 12 month clothes and some 18 month stuff, still only has 2 teeth, and sleeps like a champ allll night long (momma loves you, baby).

Munkin in his stroller
He also loves his blankie and sucks his thumb when he's tired

Sweet baby boy, the past 8 Months have been so fun! Your big smile and bright eyes bring us more joy than you'll ever know. xoxo

Camping Kickoff

We kicked off our camping season this weekend at Groveland Oaks with the Woolman family and we couldn't have asked for a better start to the summer! Awesome weather, beach time, biking, walks, fun playgrounds, and campfire treats made for a PERFECT camp out. I have some pictures to share, but they are in random order.

Max was an all around Happy Camper despite being sick.
He celebrated turning 8 Months on Saturday by playing in the sand and water, he really loved it!
He was very adventurous, crawling all over the place even tasting the sand and never even fussed once. He's such a good baby :)
Blake was taking a moment to relax in the sun

Mr. Max loved walking along the kiddie pool and splashing in the water

Crazy baby's first time at the beach

Brad and Tim made a fried food feast: fish, french fries, broccoli, mushrooms, and pickles. It was all sooo good.

Jenna was such a big helper with Max, feeding him his snacks. Thanks, Bean!

Blake, Bryce, Taylor, and Jenna had fun playing in a pea rock pond

Thanks for another great camping weekend, Woolmans!
