Stolen Goods

Thanks for posting these pictures on your blog, Erica, I stole them right off your site and I really have no shame since I did high jack your camera for the day!

Tis the Season

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Grandma & Grandpa O'Mara's house. Grandma made a delicious meal while Grandpa snoozed in the chair and all the cousins took turns napping. As an added bonus, I got to play and snuggle my adorable little nephew for the entire day! Quinn and I had a rocky start to our relationship (he cried when I would look at him), but we have made fast friends and now he lets me love on him and I am sooo happy!! I love him and miss him already . . . good thing he lives close by.
Friday morning started our season of madness. My Mom & I ventured out to the local K-Mart & Wal-Mart like a couple of crazies and got the BEST deals. It was so exciting, but I am now extremely tired. It's hard work being an expert shopper. I really don't feel bad about all my purchases, I am only doing my part to help the economy. GO USA!!!
The day after Thanksgiving is the day we have the VanDeVusse feast. It is also when my Mom puts up her Christmas tree and the boys were on hand to help this year.
The bottom half of the tree is fully loaded with ornaments, can't say so much for the top half!

Uncle Allen has spent the entire week with the boys. He picked them up from our house on Tuesday morning and brought them to Mimi and Pa's house. Blake and Bryce LOVE their Uncle Allen, we wish he lived closer to us. Virginia is too far away :(
Since when does Frosty have EARS????
My camera broke Thursday morning, so I (a self proclaimed paparazzo) am hating not being able to capture every moment on camera. I borrowed these pics from my Mom's camera and will have to do the same with Sean & Erica's. No worries, I ordered a new one online and it will be here Tuesday, YAY!!!! Merry Christmas to me.

Variety Pack

I have a variety of pictures to share from the last few weeks that range from super heroes, to twins, to Lions fans:
Starting with Spidey Blake and Super Bryce
I got these costumes at Target for 90% off (thanks for the tip Robin)
Blake's was $1.99 and Bryce's was $2.99 and they have provided hours of fun for the boys

Now to Leah and the twins:
We were treated to a visit from the Dunneback girls and it was so nice to see all three of them.
Leah looks amazing, you would NEVER guess she had 2 babies 3 months ago and she is an incredible Mom. Avery and Taylor are absolutely adorable and we love every second with them. They are so sweet and cuddly, such good little girls xo

For the final part of this variety pack, it is a sad sad story:
3 Lions fans: Bryce, Pa, and Blake
Every Sunday it is the same story, but they wear their Lions shirts with pride
It certainly takes a special person to love the Detroit Lions.

ONE more thing:
Is it wrong for my boys to play with dolls? I let them play with 2 of my old Cabbage Patch babies and it hasn't been well received by many men in our family. Let me know what you think.

Date Night

Friday night was date night. I took Blake on a special date to see Madagascar 2, it was his first experience at the movie theater and he was impressed. We both really liked the movie, but I think he was most impressed with huge tub of popcorn he got to hold in his lap and eat throughout the movie. He did great, and loves his alone time because he can engage me in the usual question and answer session on the way home. Seriously, this kid grills me on everything from the movie to how fast I'm driving to why I wore my hair in a pony tail. Quite curious, that one.

Busy boy Bryce can't handle sitting through a 15 minute cartoon, so he skipped the movie and went to McDonald's with Dad. Both dates were hits for parents and kids!

Trick or Treat 08

We had a busy Halloween week and tonight the air was just right for trick or treating. The weather was perfect, the costumes were cool, and the candy was yummy!

Looks like after chasing each other for an hour, the cop and prisoner have made friends

They are practiced up and ready to roll,
"Trick or Treat please, thank you"

Oh yes, that's right Trick or Treat was a Family Affair
A friend of mine let us borrow their prisoner costumes for a party tomorrow night, so we did a test run throughout the neighborhood. The family theme was definitely a crowd pleaser . . . either that or we were made fun of a lot, either way we had fun!

Quinn is a big boy sitting all by himself

After trick or treating the kids enjoyed a couple treats and Lauren took her usual seat on Bryce's lap. These two are going to be trouble one day!
Now this is the life for two 2 year olds and a 4 year old:
chillin in chairs outside, dressed in costumes, and a bag full of candy
