Thankful

Very Thankful for family, friends, and all the blessings we have in our lives. We had the pleasure of hosting Thanksgiving for Tim's parents, Tim's brother and his family, my parents, and my brother and his fiance. It was a great weekend and we are missing everybody already.

Wednesday the preparations were in full swing, even Max helped tear bread for stuffing.

Pa helped entertain the big boys

So happy to have one more girl in our family :)

Turkey Day Lions Fans

Blake and Bryce were given a big surprise when Allen and Rachael asked them to be junior groomsmen in their wedding!! After they asked, "what's a groomsmen" they both happily accepted the honor.

Munkin was also asked to be the Ring Bearer! His initial response was a pouty face and a "NO", but he changed his tune and I think he will be the cutest darn ring bearer.

After Mom, Rachael, and I shopped for 8 hours, we had more family come to visit. My Uncle Dave, Aunt Tammy, and cousins Angela and Debra came from Lansing to play cards and go through memorabilia from my grandparents house. We laughed til we cried and Pa cried as he retold stories. It was a super fun day!

We are thankful Allen and Rachael made the trip from New Jersey, my parents came from Bad Axe, and Tim's parents stopped by for a couple hours from Harbor Beach.

Mr. Max

Max is such a character these days! He is loving his time at home with free reign on all toys while the big boys are at school :) I told him he looks so cute today I needed to take picture of him. He happily agreed!

Here was his first pose

Then he worked the chair

He played shy

showed me how BIG he is

And performed his favorite trick

Such a fun age! He is starting to talk a bit more, but just failed his 2nd hearing test :( He has been referred to an ENT, we are just waiting for the appointment. Hopefully we get our boy on track soon.

3 Days in NYC

Tim and I were invited by Allen and Rachael to come for a visit so we hopped on a plane to spend a fun weekend in New York City with the happily engaged couple.

On the plane I reached for the Air mall magazine and ironically found this magazine with a very appropriate title: "Three Perfect Days in New York City"

The soon-to-be Bride & Groom

I had a great time trying on bridesmaid dresses and meeting some of Rachael's friends:

Rachael, Nicole, Rachel & Rachel . . . yes, that's right, 3 Rachels!!!

Loved NYC at night

Friday we spent the day and night in Hoboken, NJ right across the Hudson from NYC.

Rachael actually owns a condo there and Hoboken is where Allen & Rachael met :)

Hoboken is a cool place, thanks to the best tour guides we visited some fun places, had some amazing food, went to Hobson's (the place it all began), and even saw Buddy's sister from Cake Boss (one of Tim's favorite shows)

We loved everything about our weekend with Allen & Rachael. It was nice to spend time with them and get a glimpse as to what their lives on the East coast is like. Can't wait to go back again :)
