VanDeVusse Christmas 2010

Thanks Mimi, Pa, and Uncle Allen for spoiling our kids rotten once again ;)
Blake got a real guitar so he can be a full fledged ROCK star

Max was so happy with his airplane

Pa finally got some cologne and a Sparty hat

Al & Tim are cute and matchy

The boys in their Buzz snuggies with their light sabers

Bryce started building with his waffle blocks right away, yay!
Now we are ready to snack the day away and enjoy some family time.

O'Mara Christmas 2010

Christmas day we headed to Harbor Beach to spend the day with Tim's parents. We had a wonderful day, an amazing dinner, and lots of fun! Thanks so much to Grandma & Grandpa O'Mara for a GREAT Christmas!!!

Grandma made a chocolate train cake and a vanilla train cake for the boys to decorate. It was super cool, she had every candy and decoration you could think of. The boys really enjoyed it.

Our family

Max & Grandpa had a good time making faces at each other

Max was in AWE of everything. He loved opening gifts and playing with every one's toys :)

Brycie got A LOT of toys, he was nice enough to share with his brothers thankfully!

Blake is so funny, this is him after opening his 4th box with clothing items. He was celebrating socks in this photo, LOL!

Max pouting

Grandma & Grandpa got Blake the perfect gift! A CSI investigation kit for our future scientist. He has his safety glasses on as he looks in the microscope.
Thanks so much for everything Grandma & Grandpa!!!!!

Christmas at Home

For the first time, we stayed home for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning and it was very much worth it. We had a great couple days, just us, making memories and creating new traditions.
All ready for Christmas Eve mass
Daddy with his boys

Mommas boys

Our little baby

Blake and Bryce were tracking Santa's path like a couple of crazy stalkers! Santa's location updates every couple minutes and they made sure they were aware of his every move!

Christmas morning Max was the first one up and he went nuts over his truck that Santa gave him
Tim in his Santa shirt, lol

The boys were so excited to give me gifts, even though they told me the night before that I didn't need to wish for a watch or pajamas. Very stealth, guys.

LOVE this reaction! He was so surprised!

Also a new tradition: we made a birthday cake for Jesus on Christmas Eve and then ate it for breakfast on Christmas morning. A nice way to make sure the kids are reminded of the reason for the season amidst the pile of presents!

What a wonderful Christmas with our little family!!!!

Good times with the Groves

Our good friends, the Grove family, came over for a little Christmas gift exchange on the 23rd. We go way back with the Groves: Kara and I were high school basketball rivals and Tim and Jeff know each other from college. Now our kids are playing together and we are so thankful to have them in our lives!
Jeff & Lauren (doesn't he look cute in a little purple hat).
They got the boys these really cool remote control helicopters and they have been having a blast flying them all over the house! Jeff picks out the best boy gifts :)

Even Max likes the purple hat

Best shot I could get of Lia, she runs away when the camera comes out!

Jeff and Kara said goodbye with big zerberts for each kid. It was funny, they didn't even have to touch Blake, he was laughing hysterically before anything even happened.

Family Friends

We are so very thankful to call the Richey family our friends. Jonathan, Ashlie, Caitlyn, and Lauren are 4 of the sweetest people you could ever meet! We first met when Blake and Caitlyn were in the same preschool class. Blake had a crazy crush on Caitlyn and as Ashlie and I started talking casually in the hall we truly became instant friends. As it turns out our entire families get along very well. We have had family dinners, fun play dates, and have become increasingly grateful to have such a wonderful friends in our lives!
4 SUPER cute kids
Now that Blake & Caitlyn are in 1st grade they don't get to see each other very often, but they didn't waste any time getting caught up!

Their little smiles, glances out of the corner of their eye, and nonchalant scooches closer in the pew made it pretty clear they were happy to see each other again :)

So sweet!

O'Mara ~ Richey clan
We are cherishing our time with our friends as we know they will be leaving Michigan when Jonathan finishes his training and they head back West to warmer weather (they both grew up in California). We LOVE you Richey Family!!!!!!
