Food Issues

We have a couple of food issues in our family. First, is the all too familiar situation in which Blake won't try new foods. The second issue involves the little one.
The little one, aka Bryce, is a great eater and loves to try new things. His diet is healthy and includes a variety of foods; I am not complaining about that by any means. The problem we are experiencing is his vulture-like characteristics that have him swooping in and eating someone else's entire plate of food.
Tim and I find ourselves leaving the table hungry because Bryce ate all of our meal . . . and his!
Lately I have been trying to sneak food when Bryce is busy doing something else, but his super vulture senses kick in and he always catches me. I like to share, but I also like to eat :)
I think we are going to have to set some boundaries here!

Disney Fun

We are back from our Disney vacation and we made it through without illness or injuries and had a wonderful time!! We had a couple of cool days, but the weather was very nice especially in comparison to snowy cold Michigan. I have a bunch of pictures to share, but had to choose from the 285 pictures Tim took . . . seriously, digital SLR has made him snap happy.

Here we are at the Magic Kingdom
My parents

Bryce with Mickey and Minnie
He hugged them both and even got a kiss from Minnie :)
Blake did not have any interest in meeting them

He was only interested in his favorite, Buzz Light Year
Pool time

Bryce with his Mickey ears

Everybody finds their inner Goofy while at Disney

We had a great family vacation, the boys did great the entire week,
but we are really happy to be home!

Happy Valentine's Day

We attended Blake's preschool Valentine party this morning and I am so impressed with how much progress Blake has made this school year. My shy guy now sings loud and proud, smiles for the camera, and has made so many friends.
There he is in the back getting ready for the big performance
He made me this adorable Valentine and when he gave it to me he said, "Happy Valentine's Day, Mom, I love you". Then gave me a big hug and kiss.

Then he left his Mom to go sit by his friend Caitlyn.

Momma's Boy and Heart breaker wish all of you a Happy Valentine's Day!
xoxoxoxo

Now it's off to finish packing, we leave for Disney tomorrow. AND did you notice? Blake's sling came off yesterday and he is doing GREAT. Our fingers are crossed for a wonderful vacation this time around.

Confidence

Does Blake lack confidence? You be the judge after this story:
Blake told me last night that he and his friend Ty are fighting over a girl named Caitlyn in their class. I told him that friends should never fight over a girl. He looked at me and very matter of factly said, "I know she likes me better, actually, because a long long time ago she found Me, the PERFECT BOY."
Seems pretty confident to me. Seriously, this at 4 years old? I already put the sign up on the front door saying "No hoochies allowed."

Wii Fit

Wii O'Maras are obsessed with the Wii Fit. Mimi was lucky enough to find 2 at the Bad Axe Wal-Mart, so we decided to give it to Tim for his birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!!!
Who may you ask is most obsessed with it? That would our youngest member Bryce. He wants to play all day and doesn't appreciate us for limiting his efforts to beef up.
His favorite activity: push ups
Here he is, holding the one-handed pose
Nice form, huh?It is hilarious to watch Bryce master all these games (and do it way better than his big brother) considering he has the least amount of physical coordination in our family, due to his age no doubt . . . at least that's what we are hoping. The kid can't even hop on one foot yet, but he can ski and jump and balance on the Wii.

Conversation with Blake

Mom: "Blake, what is your favorite part of school?"
Blake: "When I go home."

Wacky Winter Blahhhhs

February just arrived and already I am over this winter weather. The kids and I have been getting a little stir crazy and with that comes complete wackiness.

Wackier Boy Bryce with a hot wheels ring of fire
See, I told you, we are just getting crazier by the day around here.

I start an exercise class tonight, I am really excited to be doing something for myself. It is called Zumba and is a dance aerobics fun time (so I hear) and I will be doing it 2 nights a week. This comes at a perfect time because an hour ago Blake told me that I should get some exercise because I am getting a little bit fat. Thanks, kid, just the motivation I needed.
